This session will help you recognize the different etiologies of the polyuria polydipsia syndrome, identify the limitations of the water deprivation test, interpret copeptin upon hypertonic saline infusion, understand non-osmotic stimuli of copeptin and their possible value in the differential diagnosis of Diabetes insipidus, have a better understanding of the pathophysiology of post-operative and post-traumatic diabetes insipidus, including the triphasic response and adipsic diabetes insipidus, and recognize patients at higher risk of post-operative DI, among other topics.
